About Me

 Welcome to my blog.

I’m Alia Joy. I have written for as long as my chubby fingers could manage a crayon. It’s something I’m compelled to do. I have a story to tell.

I want to share what God has done for me.

It’s a lot.

  2. just remember me as one of your biggest blog fans before you have too many to count. You are truly gifted Alia. What a great ministry you have created! I love your posts and look forward to every one that God has planned to set in place. May he work swiftly in peoples hearts and may you be the vessel. Blog away!

    • Ha, as if. You are a close friend in real life. :) One of the select, lol. Thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot.

  3. Oh Alia! You made me cry and laugh at the same time! This blog is wonderfully thought provoking, wise, insightful and above all else soul-baringly honest. Your words continue to resonate with me long after I have finished reading each post. I am immeasurably blessed by your precious life’s lessons. Thank you for this!

    • Thanks Sharon, I really appreciate your words. Just saw your blog. Your blog pictures are stunning! I must get out to Finland someday. And I too love Enid Blyton, even at 33. :)

Alia, loved your blog about the decluttering…I have been looking at my closet and garage and saying…ok I need to clean it out and get rid of stuff and organize…. but finding the time and energy is a challenge. I think the idea of ‘Bites’ of doing it is good… will need to check out that book you talked about. Keep up the amazing work… Gods blessing on each word. love you.

    • Thanks. I’m still decluttering. It’s been a long process. I keep thinking, “Where did all this stuff come from?” Especially in the kids rooms. I feel like we are constantly getting rid of stuff and then Kaia will discover a new thing to collect. Right now it’s tissue paper blankets for her dolls. Her room looks like a gift wrapping station exploded! This past summer it was rocks. Not special rocks, just regular rocks from parking lots and stuff. LOL.

Hey I just saw your blog ,love it im excited to hear more.:-)

  6. Alia,
You look so much like your Mum in that photo with the frangipanni in your hair!
You ARE a science nerd! But I love it, because I am so NOT and as one of the “tutoreed” – you DO know you tutor the Mum’s more than the kids, I think) it’s very appreciated.
Maybe that’s a #1 thing about me. I am not a Science nerd.
I love what you write about your Mum. My (oldest) daughter just gave me a magnet for my fridge that says “The truth is: even if she wasn’t my mother, I would still go out of my way to be friends with her”. The highest compliment must be when you are best friends with your daughter! That would be a #2. We have a lot of numbers in common.
BTW, I got this site from FB.
And it’s very refreshing and wonderful way to get to know you, virtually!!

    • Rob,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog. Yes, I don’t know what I would do without my mother’s friendship. It takes on a whole new dimension now that I am an adult and a mother myself. I’d say you’re a pretty cool mum too! And not just because of your really cool accent but that certainly helps. :) It is a pretty good way to get to know me since I kind of just purge it all out onto the pages here. Thanks for reading it.
