Hi, I'm Alia Joy. Cynical idealist, homeschool mama to three little ‘uns, wife to Josh, book wormy, coffee dependent, grace saved, writer of random musings and broken stories, collector of words, attempter of all things crafty, lover of mustard yellow, turquoise, Africa, and missions. I live in Central Oregon and love to visit big cities because there are no decent Indian, Moroccan, or Vietnamese restaurants close by. Maker-upper of words. You don’t feel like the person looking back at you from the mirror. – On those days, it’s vital for me to capture every thought. Kay Missler used to say it’s your M&M times – having to capture a thought moment by moment. Otherwise, before I realise it, I am sinking in the mire. And it’s hard to resist the wallowing when I am there.
The wallowing is the killer.
Yes, so true. It’s those wallowing, festering thoughts that are soul crushing. I am working on not allowing myself to dwell on things that are obviously not from God. The condemnation and insecurities that hinder true relationship with each other. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. You are stunning, both inside and out, no matter your age. Plus, you have the amazing accent. Such a bonus!
